Ukrainian Centre Nusle

Український центр Nusle · Ukrajinské centrum Nusle · 2022–2026

Essence

Ukrajinské centrum Nusle is a community and integration project run by Pražský Majdan, z.s., in Prague. The operator dates its assistance work to 2022; municipal funding records document the project in 2024 and the Czech contract register records funding in 2026. Its service address at Táborská 500/30 differs from the association’s registered office. The timeline of its premises, impact figures and image rights remain subject to editorial verification.

Name, nature and boundaries of the entry

Ukrajinské centrum Nusle (UCN, “Centre for Aid to Ukraine”) is presented as a social and integration project of Pražský Majdan, z.s., rather than an independently established legal entity. R0062 is the project's canonical entry; R0061 identifies its legal operator. The appearance of both names in a Prague grant agreement does not give the centre a separate business registration number (IČO). [UCN01; UCN03; UCN04]

“Ukrainian Centre Nusle”, “Ukrajinské centrum Nusle”, “Centre for Aid to Ukraine” and UCN identify the project or its language variants. HUB Nusle is a different youth format run by the same organisation, although their programmes overlap. These initiatives must not be merged into a single registered institution. [UCN01; UCN06]

The origins of assistance in 2022

The operator associates the centre's beginning with March 2022, following the full-scale invasion. This is the organisation's own date for its assistance initiative; it cannot automatically establish the start of operations in particular rooms at Nusle Town Hall. An exact relocation history requires occupancy agreements or a dated city announcement. [UCN01]

Its description lists help with housing, work, children's education, advice and humanitarian supplies. This is a programme outline, rather than confirmation that every service was continuously available from the first day. The CMS should record a time interval and current availability for each service. [UCN01]

The city centre and public support

An official Prague document from 2024 names “Ukrajinské Centrum Nusle – kontaktní místo a celoroční činnost” and identifies Pražský Majdan, z.s., registration number 03771253, as the organisation associated with the project. Its description focuses on family adaptation, education, psychological support and work with children and young people. This documents a public function more strongly than the organisation's promotional page alone. [UCN03]

The Czech contracts register records agreement DOT/62/02/013725/2026 for an integration and community centre, with Pražský Majdan, z.s., as recipient. The registered contract amount is CZK 1,780,000. It must not be presented as the centre's annual budget, total income, actual expenditure or an audit of spending. [UCN04]

Services and programmes

The operator describes advice on housing, employment, health and administrative procedures, Czech courses, children's activities, psychological assistance and social meetings. For example, the website has a dated announcement of Czech courses from February 2024. It establishes that the programme was advertised then, rather than guaranteeing this week's timetable. [UCN01; UCN07]

The editorial catalogue should separate each service from the organisation: type=consultation/course/community_event, operator_id=R0061, centre_id=R0062, availability_verified_at, audience, cost, registration_channel. Individual events may involve external organisers; an event alone does not establish a permanent partnership. [UCN08]

The scale of assistance and reliability of counts

In a notice dated 12 November 2024, the organisation reported providing various forms of assistance to 6,745 people from January to September 2024. The figures cover a defined nine-month period and are the organisation's own account. Without its counting method, it is unclear whether these are unique individuals, services or people making multiple visits. [UCN05]

The current page also uses cumulative descriptions of beneficiary numbers. They must not be compared mechanically with 2024: different periods and methods could produce a misleading growth chart. Every number needs a separate record identifying its period, unit definition and reporting author, and should remain unpublished pending an audit. [UCN01; UCN05]

HUB Nusle: connected, but distinct

The operator dates the official opening of the youth-oriented HUB Nusle to 30 November 2023. It describes informal educational events, workshops, film screenings and support for young Ukrainians. This is a distinct programme name and a possible future entry, rather than evidence of a new legal entity. [UCN06]

The website sometimes mentions UCN and HUB together. The graph must allow “part of a joint programme” and “operates under the same organisation” without equating their entity_id values. Pages about the youth HUB do not justify describing the entire Ukrainian centre solely as a youth organisation. [UCN01; UCN06]

Partnerships and institutional arrangements

Published documents identify Prague as the grant provider and Pražský Majdan as the legal recipient. This establishes a specific contractual relationship, rather than unlimited “municipal management of the centre”. [UCN03; UCN04]

An earlier editorial entry mentioned the centre manager's participation in a UCCC/U-CARE fundraising workshop in 2026. The operator's current general description does not confirm this episode; a separate dated notice is needed. Pending verification, it is neither a confirmed relationship with Unity Hub (R0064), evidence of partnership nor a reason to merge the entities. [UCN01]

Addresses, building and map

The official contact page gives Táborská 500/30, 140 00 Praha 4 (Nusle Town Hall), as the centre and office address. It gives Pražský Majdan, z.s., a separate registered office at Táborská 372/36. On the services map, Táborská 500/30 has the role service_location; Táborská 372/36 is the operator's legal_registered_office. [UCN02]

R0077, the entry for Nusle Town Hall, should remain a separate place entity. Visiting the centre does not establish the building's history. The geographic description is currently supported at the postal-address level; exact entrance coordinates, accessibility and the route have not been checked and must not be generated. [UCN02]

Historical significance for bilingual Prague

UCN illustrates how a temporary assistance initiative after 2022 becomes a more stable city network of advice, education and meetings. This is a story of civic response and integration infrastructure, rather than only an address in a directory. [UCN01; UCN03; UCN04]

The editorial narrative must distinguish four timelines: the self-reported start of assistance in 2022, the youth HUB in 2023, the municipal description in 2024 and contractual support in 2026. Reducing them to a single “centre opening” date would hide the project's development.
