Ukrainian Consultation and Community Centre Prague / Unity Hub
Український консультаційно-громадський центр у Празі (UCCC / Unity Hub) · 2023–2027
Essence
The Ukrainian Consultation and Community Centre (UCCC) in Prague is developed by ICMPD in cooperation with Czech and Ukrainian institutions. Consultation services trace back to 2023; community functions expanded in September 2025, the enhanced centre was inaugurated on 2 March 2026, and formal accession to the Unity Hub Network followed on 11 September 2026. It should not be conflated with the Nusle centre or presented as an independently incorporated Czech association without registry evidence.

Nature and distinction from a legal entity
The Ukrainian Consultation and Community Centre (UCCC) in Prague is a consultation and community centre developed by ICMPD with support from the Czech Ministry of the Interior and in cooperation with Ukrainian institutions. Unity Hub was initially an operating model and, from 11 September 2026, also a confirmed network affiliation. This does not automatically constitute an independent Czech organisation with a separate IČO. [UCC01; UCC02; UCC04]
Canonical R0064 preserves the centre's programme identity. For a future graph, the legal operator ICMPD, the funding Czech Ministry of the Interior, U-CARE as a project and the Unity Hub network itself must be different object types. Do not add a fictitious “Unity Hub Prague” IČO without a legal register extract. [UCC04]
Earlier consultation activity in 2023
In its September 2026 report, ICMPD states that it supported the establishment of a Ukrainian consultation centre in Prague as early as 2023 and that the centre had provided services to Ukrainians since then. This is evidence of UCCC's institutional background, distinct from the ceremonial opening of the expanded Unity Hub in March 2026. [UCC02]
The editor must preserve three different events: the start of the consultation function, the transition to a community centre and formal accession to the network. The names UCC, UCCC and Unity Hub are related but do not establish the existence of three separate civic organisations. The exact launch date in 2023 and the early address need checking. [UCC01; UCC02]
The U-CARE project and funding
ICMPD's official U-CARE project record establishes the framework of Ukraine: Consultations and Assistance for Resilience and Empowerment: 01.09.2025–31.08.2027, donor — the Czech Ministry of the Interior, total funding according to the record — EUR 1 500 000. These are figures for the overall project, rather than a separate budget for the Prague premises. [UCC04]
U-CARE combines support for citizens in Czechia, cooperation with Ukrainian institutions and preparations for voluntary and safe return. The centre's format should be described neutrally: consultations about different legal options, rather than instructions or pressure for people to return. Legal advice on the website cannot replace current official consultation. [UCC04]
Transition to a community space in 2025
In its publication of 4 March 2026, ICMPD explains that the consultation concept began expanding its functions in September 2025, becoming a Unity Hub-type community space. It continued addressing temporary protection, legal residence and preparation of documents for consular procedures, adding meetings of Ukrainian communities. [UCC01]
September 2025 is not a confirmed legal registration date for a new association. This is a programme development of services. The temporal model should use programme_phase and services_added_at; a separate incorporation_date for R0064 will not be established without grounds. [UCC01; UCC04]
Ceremonial opening on 2 March 2026
ICMPD dates the official opening of the fully operational Unity Hub in Prague to 2 March 2026 and published the press release about it on 4 March. Representatives of Czech institutions and the programme team attended the ceremony. This is the date of a particular public phase, rather than the “first day of consultations for Ukrainians” in general. [UCC01]
A separate ICMPD report about the meeting on 12–13 March 2026 documents the range of diaspora organisations that discussed cooperation. Attendance at an event does not automatically make every participant a co-founder or permanent official partner of the centre. [UCC03]
Formal accession to the Unity Hub Network
On 15 September 2026, ICMPD reported an event held on 11 September at which Prague's UCCC formally joined the Unity Hub Network. An agreement to continue U-CARE was signed on the same day. The event date must be separated from the press release publication date. [UCC02]
This distinction is particularly important for the graph: the typed relationship “is_member_of_network” can take effect from 11.09.2026 according to the official text, while operates_under_community_model existed earlier. The network itself should be created as a separate resource only after establishing its canonical ID, rather than as a duplicate of R0064. [UCC01; UCC02]
Contacts and spatial precision
UCCC's public channel gives the address Rokycanova 707/29, Praha 3, Žižkov, the contact CC-Prague@icmpd.org and opening hours. This is information from an operational channel, but publishing a map marker requires renewed confirmation from a current official resource and an accessibility check. [UCC05]
Rokycanova as the centre's location has no connection to Táborská 500/30 for UCN. Confusing two names meaning “Ukrainian centre” would create incorrect routes and mix up the operators. In the archive we record the address as source_reported_address and prohibit automatic generation of precise entrance coordinates. [UCC05; UCN02]
Cooperation with Ukrainian communities
In March 2026, ICMPD reported a meeting of more than 25 representatives of Ukrainian diaspora organisations; in September it reported an expansion of dialogue to network level. Such reports demonstrate the centre's role as a coordination platform but do not specify the legal status of every interaction. [UCC03; UCC02]
The Pražský Majdan website provides specific evidence of a UCN representative's participation in a fundraising workshop associated with UCCC/U-CARE in June 2026. This is suitable for a directed participation relationship R0062→R0064 with a period, but does not amount to a merger of the two centres. [UCN01]
