How to use
Guide
A short guide to using the atlas.
Search
Type a name, place or event into the search on the home page or on the “Dossiers” page. The / (Slash) key jumps to the search field, Esc (Escape) leaves it.
Dossier
Every dossier has an essence, a timeline, the full research text, connections, sources and a verification status. Icons at the top right: cite (copies a ready reference), download data, share, report an error.
River of time
Epochs from the Middle Ages to today. Left: Ukrainians in Czechia. Right: Czechs in Ukraine. Empty places are honestly marked gaps.
Text size
The “Tt” button in the top bar enlarges text on all pages; pressing it again restores the normal size.
Languages
The “Українська · Čeština · English” switch opens the same page in another interface language. For a dossier, the site shows a translation matching the current version; otherwise it shows the original with a notice. In news articles, untranslated text appears in its original language, with a notice that the full translation is not yet ready.
Verification levels
- DraftResearch draft with sources; independent check still pending.
- Checked automaticallyQuotes mechanically matched to sources; an independent model found no contradictions.
- Two sources (automatic score)Automatic evidence score: key facts rest on at least two independent sources. No person has yet read the whole dossier.
- Confirmed by an editorAn editor confirmed the dossier; the reason is shown on the page. This is not an independent scholarly review.
- Disputed pointsSources disagree; disputed points are marked in the text.
Error or addition
Every dossier ends with a form. Messages go to the editorial queue; a human decides.
