Rodná škola, z.s. / Ridna Shkola

«Рідна школа» — українська суботня школа · 2024–2026

Essence

Rodná škola is a Ukrainian Saturday-school and cultural initiative operated through Rodná škola, z.s. (IČO 21908231, incorporated on 28 August 2024). A June 2025 Ukrinform report covers the end of its first school year, while the school reports an Ostrava branch opening in September 2025. Current Ukrainian and Czech website versions disagree about the Ostrava classroom address; the Ukrainian site also mentions Jihlava. Operating premises, municipal funding evidence and image rights for photographs of minors remain subject to editorial review.

Legal entity, name and language equivalents

Ridna Shkola is a Ukrainian Saturday educational and cultural initiative represented by the legal entity Rodná škola, z.s., registration number 21908231. A Czech register extract records the association's inception on 28 August 2024, court file L 79450/MSPH and statutory aim: supporting children and young people from Ukraine, Ukrainian culture, language skills and integration in Czechia. The registration number is also published on the school website. [RSH01; RSH03]

The names «Рідна школа», «Рідна Школа», Rodná škola, z.s. and Ridna Shkola refer to the Prague project only through verified identifiers. A school with the same Ukrainian name also operates in Dublin; matching media headlines without a matching legal entity and location do not permit merging records. [RSH01; RSH08]

Beginnings and community mission in 2024

The Czech version of the school's own page explicitly names August 2024 as its beginning, matching the legal registration date. A matching month alone, however, does not prove that classes took place in August: the classroom opening date, first rental agreements and timetable remain questions for historical reconstruction. [RSH02; RSH03]

The website frames the mission as preserving Ukrainian language, culture, social ties and self-identification among children living in a Czech environment. Two strands must be retained: legal creation of the association and development of practical Saturday education; the 2026/27 programme list cannot automatically be assigned to the starting year. [RSH01; RSH02]

Evidence of the first academic year, 2024/25

On 16 June 2025, the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform reported the end-of-year ceremony at Prague's Ridna Shkola, using material from the Ukrainian Embassy in Czechia. The report mentions approximately 40 Saturday-programme pupils in the 2024/25 academic year. This figure is an attributed media report, rather than an independently audited number for October 2026. [RSH04]

The article reports diplomats' attendance at the ceremony. A single attendance by embassy representatives may be important for cultural history, but is not proof of administrative control of the school, state accreditation or indefinite funding. The event graph should contain a time-limited hosted_or_attended_event type. [RSH04]

Saturday classes and programme content

The Ukrainian and Czech versions of the school website describe Saturday classes, languages, mathematics, reading, Ukrainian studies elements, cultural workshops, clubs and integration visits to museums. For 2026/27, the Czech page shows recruitment of preschool children and grades 1–5 for Prague and Ostrava. Such pages attest the announced offer, rather than actual provision every Saturday. [RSH01; RSH05]

Timetables and fees may vary by city, age and year. The Czech FAQ contains 2025/26 prices, while the current homepage gives different 2026/27 guidance; this dynamic material should not be duplicated in the historical description as a fixed organisational characteristic. A future services module uses date-of-currency verification. [RSH05; RSH07]

Registered office versus teaching premises

According to the register extract, Rodná škola, z.s.'s registered address is Fingerova 2181/9, Praha-Stodůlky (shortened in the school contact information to Fingerova 9, Praha 5). This is not a teaching address or a confirmed destination for parents; the legal_registered_office function is represented separately in the CMS. [RSH01; RSH03]

Base object R0081 contains Fingerova 2181/9 in connection with another possible organisation; the same postal address alone does not prove an institutional link. No edge to R0081 should be created without a primary document establishing legal relations or shared use of premises. [RSH03]

Internal and external evidence of activity

The school website has an events calendar and news about expansion into Ostrava, while Ukrinform's dated report provides an external point of verification for the 2025 ceremony. Attendance descriptions must distinguish press-service statements, editorial publication and independent measurement; none replaces an archive of primary school documents. [RSH01; RSH04; RSH06]

The operator itself states that Prague City Hall supports Saturday programmes and events. Until a grant decision number, support period and financial document are obtained, this assertion should be marked OPERATOR_SELF_REPORT. No amount, subsidised period, share of state funding or administrative control should be specified. [RSH01]

Distinction from other Ukrainian schools

Prague also has Erudyt (R0065), Friends School (R0067), Ukrainian School No. 1 (R0068) and Znaiko-Piznako (R0069). Being in one city and offering similar language-cultural programmes establish neither a common founder nor a legal link. Erudyt's known registration number 22867481 and Ridna Shkola's 21908231 differ; the graph includes an explicit negative guard. [RSH03; ERU02]

The similarity between Ridna Shkola in Dublin and Prague illustrates the risk of erroneous automatic name-based merging. The deduplication rule is that a matching phonetic brand without matching registration number, city, source and chronology calls for manual review, rather than merging. Negative relationships must never be used to recommend partnerships. [RSH08]

Cultural-historical value and narrative prospects

This case shows how a Ukrainian family educational initiative in Czechia adopts an association form and grows from local Saturday classes in Prague into a network format. The narrative's main anchors are registration on 28.08.2024, documented completion of the first academic year in 06.2025, announcement of Ostrava's opening in 09.2025 and the public multi-city description in 2026. [RSH03; RSH04; RSH06; RSH01]

The editorial team must first establish whether Jihlava operates as a full teaching site, exactly when Ostrava's address changed and which agreements govern Prague classes. Public storytelling must not precede media rights and fact-checking; until then, the whole dossier's status is EDITORIAL_REVIEW / BLOCKED.
