The Information Portal for Foreigners of the Ministry of the Interior (page dated 23 July 2026) describes how a stay under a bilateral agreement of the Czech Republic is recorded in the Entry/Exit System (EES). The foreigners' police make the entry only with the foreigner present in person. At border control you can ask a foreigners' police officer to note the fact; at an international airport the entry is made by the foreigners' police inspectorate. If you are already in Czechia visa-free and want to use a stay under a bilateral agreement, you must go in person to the competent foreigners' police office. The page names no specific agreements or countries and is not the full text of Act No. 326/1999 Coll., so check which agreement applies to you. Published for Ukrainians living in Czechia.
