Extension to 31.3.2027 has ended: what to do if protection has lapsed
The option to extend temporary protection to 31 March 2027 ended on 30 September 2026. Those whose protection has lapsed must submit a new application under the current conditions.

The Naši Ukrajinci project page states that the option to extend temporary protection to 31 March 2027 ended on 30 September 2026. If your protection has lapsed, you can apply again. New applications are assessed under the conditions valid at the time of filing, and these are listed on the ipc.gov.cz portal. If you have already expressed interest in special long-term residence, the result of the eligibility check is visible in your account on the Information Portal for Foreigners. Registration for ZDP runs until 31 December 2026: first you register in your account, then you book a visit to a Ministry of the Interior office.
