Temporary protection in Czechia extended to 31 March 2028
The extension takes two steps: online registration and a visit to a Ministry of the Interior office for a new sticker. New applications filed from 5 August 2026 require proof of military obligation for men aged 18 to 59.

Following an EU Council decision, temporary protection in Czechia has been extended to 31 March 2028. The procedure stays the same as before and has two steps: first online registration, then a personal visit to a Ministry of the Interior office for a new sticker. Proof of military obligation is required for first, repeated and family-reunification applications filed from 5 August 2026, if the applicant is a man aged 18 to 59. People whose protection is already valid, and the extension itself, do not need this proof. For ages 18 to 22 you must show registration in the Reserv+ app and a paper eVOD. For ages 23 to 59 the paper eVOD must record removal from military registration. Screenshots are not accepted. The full list of accepted documents is on the Ministry page.
