People with temporary protection valid until 31 March 2026 will be able to extend it until 31 March 2027. The procedure consists of two stages: online registration and an in-person visit to a Ministry of the Interior office to have a new visa sticker affixed. Online registration will begin in early 2026 and will remain open only until 15 March 2026. All persons over the age of 15 must register themselves. Persons under the age of 15 are registered by their legal representatives. After online registration, during which you will book an appointment at a Ministry of the Interior office, temporary protection will be extended until 30 September 2026. In the second stage, you must visit a Ministry of the Interior office, where a new visa sticker will be affixed. An appointment must be booked in advance. You will choose the appointment date during online registration for the extension of temporary protection. The selected date can be changed only for serious reasons through an account on the Information Portal for Foreigners. The new visa sticker must be affixed no later than 30 September 2026. Therefore, changing the date is not recommended: it cannot be guaranteed that the office in your place of residence will have available capacity before that deadline. There is no entitlement to a new date.
